The Lloydminster and Meadow Lake areas offer excellent walleye, pike, and perch fishing in boreal forest lakes.

2. Brightsand Lake (Walleye, Northern Pike, Perch)

45 min south of Lloydminster, near Marsden

Brightsand Lake offers walleye, northern pike, and yellow perch fishing in a parkland setting. The lake's sandy beaches and clear waters make it a popular summer destination.

3. Turtle Lake (Walleye, Northern Pike, Perch)

1 hour south of Lloydminster, near Lashburn

Turtle Lake offers walleye, northern pike, and yellow perch fishing. The lake has a popular regional park with camping, beach, and golf course. Turtle Lake is a favourite among Lloydminster area anglers.

4. Murray Lake (Walleye, Northern Pike)

1 hour south of Lloydminster

Murray Lake, near the community of Neilburg, offers walleye and northern pike fishing. The lake is smaller than Jackfish Lake but offers good fishing with fewer crowds.

5. Meadow Lake (Walleye, Northern Pike, Perch)

2 hours north of Lloydminster

Meadow Lake, located in Meadow Lake Provincial Park, offers excellent walleye, northern pike, and yellow perch fishing in a boreal forest setting. The park has numerous lakes, campgrounds, and hiking trails. Meadow Lake is one of the premier fishing destinations in western Saskatchewan.

6. Waterhen Lake (Walleye, Northern Pike)

2.5 hours north of Lloydminster, Meadow Lake area

Waterhen Lake, located near Meadow Lake Provincial Park, offers walleye and northern pike fishing. The lake is less developed than the park's main lakes, offering a quieter experience.

7. Pierce Lake (Northern Pike, Walleye)

2 hours north of Lloydminster, Meadow Lake area

Pierce Lake offers northern pike and walleye fishing in the Meadow Lake region. The lake is smaller and less pressured than Meadow Lake itself.

8. Greig Lake (Walleye, Northern Pike, Perch)

2 hours north of Lloydminster, Meadow Lake Provincial Park

Greig Lake, located in Meadow Lake Provincial Park, offers walleye, northern pike, and yellow perch fishing. The lake is connected to Meadow Lake and offers good fishing in a park setting.

9. Cold Lake (Lake Trout, Walleye, Northern Pike)

2.5 hours northwest of Lloydminster, straddles Alberta border

The Saskatchewan side of Cold Lake offers fishing for lake trout, walleye, and northern pike. Cold Lake is deep, clear, and known for its trophy lake trout. The Saskatchewan shore has several lodges and access points.
