Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the CatchTales mobile application and website operated by Maison Louis Design.

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using CatchTales, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Account Registration

To use CatchTales, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account. You must not share your account with others.

Free vs Pro

CatchTales is available in a Free version with limited features and a Pro version with full functionality. Pro is $8.99/year or $19.99 lifetime (CAD). Pro codes are non-transferable and cannot be refunded after activation.

User Data

You retain ownership of all catch records, photos, and data you enter into the app. By using cloud sync (Pro feature), you authorize us to store your data securely on our servers for the purpose of syncing across your devices.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any local, provincial, or federal fishing regulations
• Attempt to access another user's account or data
• Reverse engineer, modify, or distribute modified versions of the app
• Use automated systems to access, scrape, or harvest data from the app
• Interfere with the app's operation or security features

Single-Device Use

Each account is intended for use on a single device at a time. Logging in on a new device will terminate the session on the previous device.

Third-Party Services

The app integrates with third-party services including Google Maps, OpenWeatherMap, and OpenSeaMap. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies.

Disclaimer of Warranties

CatchTales is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that fish identification or solunar predictions are 100% accurate.

Limitation of Liability

Maison Louis Design shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including lost fishing opportunities or data loss.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification.
