The Koukdjuak River offers excellent Arctic char fishing in a remote Arctic setting near Qikiqtarjuaq. Large, powerful char in the 5-12 pound range. Fly-in lodges provide access. Strictly catch-and-release.

3. Nettilling Lake (Arctic Char, Lake Trout)

Nettilling Lake is the largest lake on Baffin Island and one of the largest in Canada. It offers Arctic char and lake trout fishing in a vast, remote lake system. The lake connects to the sea via the Koukdjuak River.

Amadjuak Lake is the second-largest lake on Baffin Island, offering Arctic char and lake trout fishing in a pristine Arctic setting. Accessible by float plane from Iqaluit.

6. Sylvia Grinnell River (Arctic Char)

The Sylvia Grinnell River flows through Iqaluit and offers Arctic char fishing within the capital city. Char run up this river from Frobisher Bay in July and August, providing urban Arctic fishing.

7. Pond Inlet Area (Arctic Char, Arctic Grayling)
