Fishing Regulations
- Freshwater fishing in Hawaii has minimal bag limits - freshwater species (tilapia, bass, peacock bass) are generally not regulated by bag limit in most waters.
- Marine species have per-species limits in Marine Life Conservation Districts and regulated areas (check regulated areas per island).
- No fishing in Hanauma Bay MLCD without permit; many MLCDs are no-take.
- Coral and live rock may not be removed.
