Oklahoma offers outstanding fishing across its diverse landscape of forests, plains, and mountains. Lake Texoma — shared with Texas — is famous for world-class striped bass fishing and blue catfish. Broken Bow Lake and the Mountain Fork River offer excellent trout fishing in the Ouachita Mountains, while Grand Lake O' the Cherokees and Lake Eufaula provide outstanding crappie, bass, and catfish fishing.
Fishing Regulations
- No daily or size limits exist for fish from privately owned ponds and lakes.
- Some areas have different regulations - see Public Fishing Waters special regulations.
- Largemouth and smallmouth bass in rivers/streams must be 14 in or longer; no size limit on spotted bass.
- Noodling regulations apply for catfish (see regs book).
