General Rules (barbless hooks are the #1 cause of fines)
- ⚠ Trout stocked waters: baitfish may not be taken during pre-season closure through June 15.
- ⚠ Special regulation areas (Trophy Trout, Holdover Trout Lakes, Trout Conservation Areas, Catch and Release areas) have their own rules.
- ⚠ Saltwater species (striped bass, fluke, etc.) have separate marine regulations.

Lunker bass lakes (Alloway, Assunpink, Parvin, Delaware lakes; Merrill Creek, Round Valley, Splitrock reservoirs)
- Black bass: min 15 in, 3/day combined.

- Trophy muskie 44 in min.
Mercer Lake
- Northern pike C&R Mar 20 - May 20.
Mountain Lake
- Northern pike C&R Mar 20 - May 20.
Monksville Reservoir
- Northern pike C&R Mar 20 - May 20; trophy muskie (44 in min, 1/day).
Greenwood Lake
- Trophy muskie 44 in min; herring: 6 in max, 35/day, unused herring returned to lake.
Lake Hopatcong
- Trophy muskie 44 in min.
Musconetcong River
