General Rules (barbless hooks are the #1 cause of fines)

  • ⚠ Barbed hooks generally allowed, but many zones and waters require barbless ("Only barbless hooks may be used", "Barbless hooks only" exceptions). Zone 1: only one barbless hook. Always check the zone exceptions.

2026 fees: sport licence approx $30.65, conservation $19.15 (resident annual); one-day $14.45 (MNR).
