The Bow River through Calgary is one of the world's most famous urban trout fisheries, producing trophy brown and rainbow trout. Lake Athabasca in the north offers massive lake trout and northern pike, while the Cold Lake and Lac la Biche regions provide excellent walleye and perch fishing.
